Mental Health in the Workplace

The COVID crisis has affected the entire world with lockdowns, business and school closings, and life as we know it completely altered. It is not easy for anyone to endure this stress, and as a result, mental health across the country has been impacted. With another lockdown scheduled for the next 6 weeks, this situation will continue. Here are some ways to help your co-workers and employees cope with the ongoing impacts of the pandemic:

1.Check in with employees who are working from home. If your team is not considered “essential”, many people can find working from home with no day-to-day interaction is isolating and can be detrimental to mental health.

2.Schedule video chats with your team to have a meeting or a tea break in the middle of the day. Catch up on projects or just chat about daily life during these unprecedented times.

3.Remind your team that their co-workers and managers are available for support and there is always someone there to talk if they need help.
